Artificial Limbs & Appliances
Artificial Limbs & Appliances is the oldest private prosthetic company in Queensland. ALA prides itself on ensuring all clinical staff are members of the Australian Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA). All clinicians have a minimum of a Bachelor Degree of Prosthetics & Orthotics and maintain continual professional development in the field. Since being established in 1972 ALA has held a superior reputation in helping amputees by providing high quality and well-fitting prosthetic devices.
As an International Standards Organisation (ISO) certified practice, ALA is recognised as providing the highest level of clinical care.
Your experience at ALA will be welcoming, supportive and in a relaxed professional environment. The care and treatment you receive will be professional & personal rather than clinical. All ALA treatment plans are evidence based and clients are offered the latest technology. All clients are listened to and encouraged to be actively involved in their own treatment plan.
ALA clinicians work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. We work closely with Orthopaedic & Plastic Surgeons, Rehabilitation Specialists & Physiotherapists to assist our clients.
The relationship between client and clinician at ALA is often a longstanding one. Open and honest communication, mutual respect and joint endeavour towards shared goals are values upheld by our staff.
Your choice of clinician and clinical practice is a very important one. Please feel free to call and make an appointment or speak to one of our clinicians if you have any further enquiries.
We look forward to hearing from you.
